Stories Scribbled by Dogs

Dogs like stories by other dogs. But it’s hard for dogs to write. So they scribble instead.

One of the best things about scribbling is that you don’t have to be good at it. You can use any jumble of lines and loops. And there are no scribbling rules either, unlike grammar.

For example, here’s a scribbled story about a day at the beach.

First, a wavy line. The ocean.

Loops followed by a horizontal line. A dog on the way to the ocean.

Loops on top of loops. Trying to surf.

Lines on top of lines. A pile of beach towels.

Very tiny loops. Sand fleas.

Twisted lines and big circles. A game of Chase the Cat. But cats don’t usually go to the beach – unless they’re in a beach bag.

No scribbles. Tired dog.
